FFL Requirements:
All firearms purchased through our website must be shipped to and transferred through a valid, licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (“FFL”) in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The purchaser is solely responsible for selecting, verifying, and coordinating the transfer with their chosen FFL, including confirming that the selected FFL is willing and legally authorized to receive and transfer the firearm. Backcountry Outpost shall not be liable for transfer delays, refusal by the receiving FFL, additional transfer or storage fees, or any inability of the purchaser to lawfully complete the transfer.
Background Checks:
All in-person firearm transfers are contingent upon the successful completion of all required background checks conducted through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (“NICS”) and/or applicable Colorado state background check systems. Backcountry Outpost reserves the right to deny or cancel any transfer that does not meet applicable legal requirements.

Federal law prohibits the transfer of firearms to any individual who fails or receives a denial under a required background check or who is otherwise legally ineligible to possess a firearm. If a purchaser is unable to complete a lawful transfer, Backcountry Outpost reserves the right to cancel the order. Firearms subject to canceled transfers remain the property of Backcountry Outpost or its authorized distributor.
